Digital Extremes announced a ton of new things at TennoCon 2018. Fortuna, the new open world, was revealed at the keynote alongside The New War expansion. Adding to the exciting announcements were the additions of hoverboards and a new new co-op spacehip experience called Railjack. Revenant and Garuda, two brand new Warframes, were also announced during the TennoCon 2018 keynote. Perhaps the most exciting news of the show was the announcement that Warframe is coming to the Nintendo Switch console. This announcement has many gamers asking if Warframe supports cross-play (cross platform) multiplayer.
Does Warframe Support Cross-Play Multiplayer Gameplay?
Sadly, Warframe currently does not support cross platform multiplayer gameplay. Creative Director Steve Sinclair had mentioned a desire to support cross-play between PS4 and PC many years ago, but it appears that the team has still not been able to bring that dream to a reality.
With today's announcements at TennoCon 2018, gamers have one more reason to request cross platform multiplayer support from Digital Extremes. Warframe is currently available on Xbox One, PS4, and PC. Nintendo Switch players will have to wait a little bit longer to find out when the game will release on the hybrid handheld console.
