No Man's Sky has enjoyed a massive amount of success since the new Next update made the rounds. The spacey intergalactic sandbox ended up pulling in an impressive amount of players over the weekend, which is a testament to how cool the new additions to the title really are. Hello Games has made one heck of a comeback, as the game amassed around 97,000 concurrent players this past Sunday.
This is just about the total of 2016's launch date when the game first made its Steam debut and hit 212,000 concurrent users, but it certainly isn't anything to sneeze at for a game that's been out for two years already. The new Next features, including co-op multiplayer and other kinds of much-needed updates for the game, have helped it ramp back up into the public eye once more, and it's even seen a shift in improvement from "Mostly Negative" Steam reviews to "Mixed" instead.
Thinking about giving No Man's Sky a try now that Next is out? It's well worth giving a look, especially if you felt disillusioned by what it had to offer when it initially debuted. It's been given a pretty slick set of features that are expansive in scope, and you can discover and name your own planets and other fun things like that. So why wouldn't you want to give it a spin? There's no shoddily-constructed special edition to contend with this time around, so if nothing else it's worth a try.
