Pokemon Let's Go Pikachu & Eevee Reveal First Version-Exclusive Pokemon

The upcoming Nintendo Switch Pokemon RPGs, Let's Go Pikachu and Let's Go Eevee, are shaping up to be total throwbacks to the old-school, first-generation Pokemon games. Further helping push that idea is a new trailer released on Thursday, which showed off some fresh footage of the Kanto region.

The new trailer features new footage of players wandering the lands of Kanto with their partner Pokemon. That's primarily Pikachu or Eevee, both of which can be either male or female and can be customized with adorable outfits. The trailer also offered a first look at a few of Kanto's gym trainers, including anime favorites Brock and Misty. Whether it's catching Pokemon or training to become the Pokemon League Champion, players can go solo or partner up for local co-op, which should make capturing wild Pokemon a little bit easier.

As for those wild Pokemon available to capture, just like Red and Blue, each version of Pokemon: Let's Go will have their own exclusive Pokemon. Let's Go Pikachu will have Oddish, Sandshrew, and Growlithe and a few others exclusively, while Let's Go Eevee will contain Bellsprout, Vulpix, Meowth, and a few others all to itself. Catching them all should be easier now than in the old days, since trading is available both locally and online.

Pokemon: Let's Go Pikachu and Pokemon: Let's Go Eevee are set to release on Nintendo Switch on November 16. For more, be sure to revisit our hands-on from E3 2018.
