Ready to jump back into Shenmue 1 & 2 this fall? A bundle containing ports of the first two Shenmue games will be coming to Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC this fall, with a newly-announced release date of August 21. Now, you can head into the fall months with your favorite characters and sprawling adventures ahead of Shenmue 3, when it finally makes its debut.
The ports will offer both Japanese and English voiceover options, the ability to bring over saves from Shenmue into Shenmue II on all platforms, a save-anywhere feature, HD resolution rendering, an updated UI, new post processing effects, controller support, and achievement support on all platforms.
If you've never experienced either Shenmue game when they originally debuted in 1999 and 2001, you should absolutely check them out. A Kickstarter campaign for Shenmue 3 ended up raising $6.3 million through the campaign back in 2015, and it was originally on track for a 2017 release. Since then, it's seen multiple delays and is targeting a 2019 debut.
Check out the new trailer above for a glimpse of what's coming, and make sure you don't forget to lock in your copy, especially if you want a physical version on both PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
